What we cover
If it sits just outside the edges of the everyday, it belongs here. That means hauntings and the places that don’t feel empty. UFOs and the things in the sky nobody can explain. Psychic experiences, tarot, and divination. Cryptids and the local legends that get passed down until nobody remembers who saw it first. Parapsychology, and the slow, serious work of trying to study what refuses to be studied.
We’re not chasing proof, and we’re not here to win arguments. We’re chasing good questions, and we’re building a place where those questions get to exist without being laughed out of the room.
Who it’s for
Believer, skeptic, or just here for the stories — genuinely, all of you are welcome. Some people come to The EERIE Files certain of what they’ve seen. Others come doubting everything and just enjoying the ride. Both belong here. The one rule that actually matters is simple: every story here means something to the person who lived it, so nobody gets mocked for bringing theirs.
Where it started, and where it’s going
The EERIE Files began as a Facebook group — a place for people to swap encounters, theories, and the odd unexplained photo at 1am. It’s grown from there, and it’s still growing. This site is the next step: a proper home for the archive, this News section for dispatches and write-ups, and eventually video investigations of real locations and cases across the UK.
We’re building it slowly and properly, the way a real archive deserves. That means it’ll keep expanding for as long as people keep having stories worth telling — which, if the group is anything to go by, is going to be a very long time.
