Template:Disambiguation

Renders a hatnote at the top of an article to point readers toward related pages that share a name, topic, or origin — for cases where two entries are easily confused (e.g. a national society and its foreign counterpart) but don't need a full disambiguation page.

Note: requires the ParserFunctions extension for the conditionals, same as the infobox templates.

Usage:

{{Disambiguation
|this=the American paranormal research organisation founded in 1884
|other1_desc=its British counterpart, founded two years earlier
|other1_link=[[Society for Psychical Research]]
}}

Place at the very top of the page, before the infobox and article text.

Parameters

  • this — required. Describes the subject of the current page, following "This article is about"
  • intro — optional. Overrides the default "This article is about" lead-in
  • other'N'_desc — optional, up to 5. Description of the related topic, following "For"
  • other'N'_link — optional, up to 5. The wikilink to the related page, paired with the matching desc
