Spirit Searchers was a UK-based paranormal investigations team and a precursor to the Society of Paranormal Studies (SPS), with Gary JJ Spate among its co-founding members.
Notable investigations
In 2005, the team visited Alex Birch at his home following his own reports of paranormal activity on the property. During the visit, Birch identified himself to the team as the man behind the 1962 UFO photograph taken in Mosborough, and separately described having been visited by figures he identified as the UK's equivalent of the Men in Black, said to have worn conventional black suits. The team's investigation of the property did not detect any paranormal activity.
Legacy
Spirit Searchers preceded the founding of the Society of Paranormal Studies, with Gary JJ Spate continuing his investigative work into the later organisation.
