It sits alongside Ghosts and Hauntings, Cryptids and Folklore, and Psychic and Tarot as one of the four phenomenon types under Reported Phenomena.

• Case files documenting a specific reported sighting, encounter, or aerial phenomenon
• General phenomenon pages about a type of aerial phenomenon (e.g. a recurring light formation or encounter pattern), once enough case files exist to justify one

• Pages about a specific person associated with ufology or investigation — those belong under People instead
• Pages about a TV series, film, or other production covering UFO subject matter — those belong in In The Media instead
• A place where multiple different phenomena are reported (ghosts, UFOs, and cryptids together) — that's a Hub Page, not a UFOs and Sightings entry; see Hub Pages
