Category:Cases is one of The Vault's primary classifications. It collects specific reported events, incidents, or investigations — a documented haunting, a UFO sighting, a cryptid encounter, a disappearance — as distinct from a general type of phenomenon ({{InfoboxPhenomenon}}-style overview articles) or a specific creature/entity ({{InfoboxEntity}}).
A Cases article should generally also carry the relevant Phenomena sub-category (e.g. Ghosts and Hauntings, Cryptozoology) alongside this tag, since the two answer different questions: Cases classifies the article as documenting one specific incident, while the Phenomena sub-category classifies what kind of phenomenon that incident involves. A Cases article should also carry a geographic tag where the location is known, tracing through Locations by Geography.
