Template:LocationInfobox

Renders the right-hand infobox card on a location page (matches the style used across The Vault archive). The location infobox is designed for:

  • Haunted buildings
  • Paranormal locations
  • Historical sites
  • Places connected to legends or investigations

Note: requires the ParserFunctions extension for the conditionals. If it's not installed, remove the ... wrapper from each row and just leave the plain row markup — rows will always display, but empty parameters will just leave a blank value.

Formatting note: the entire template body is written as one unbroken line, with no line breaks between rows. Splitting rows across multiple lines causes MediaWiki to wrap them in stray <p> tags, breaking the layout; leaving line breaks between rows (even with each row correctly on one line) causes blank fields to leave visible gaps. Keep any future edits to this template on one continuous line. (This template's previous version had the second issue — rows were individually well-formed but separated by blank lines, which would have shown as dead space on any page with an optional field like built or notable_for left out — common for general location/town pages rather than a single dated building.)

Usage:

{{LocationInfobox
|name=The Tower of London
|image=TowerOfLondon.jpg
|image_caption=The Tower of London, one of Britain's most famous historic sites
|location=London
|country=England
|type=Historic building / Reported haunting
|built=1078
|notable_for=Ghost sightings and paranormal reports
|status=Active site
}}

Place this at the very top of a location page, before the article text — it floats right and the article text will wrap around it automatically.
