The Vault @ The EERIE Files
(Redirected from Template:VaultAssessment)

Template:VaultBrief

Creates a full-width assessment panel for Vault articles. Formerly named Template:VaultAssessment — that name now redirects here. If you have old wikitext or notes still referring to {{VaultAssessment}}, it will keep working via the redirect, but please use {{VaultBrief}} going forward.

The Vault Brief is designed to provide a quick summary of the current research status of a paranormal subject without presenting a conclusion on whether a claim is true or false.

It should be used below the main infobox and above the article introduction.

Formatting note: the entire template body is deliberately written as one unbroken line, with no line breaks between rows. Splitting rows across multiple lines causes MediaWiki to wrap them in stray <p> tags, breaking the layout; leaving line breaks between rows (even with each row correctly on one line) causes blank fields to leave visible gaps. Keep any future edits to this template on one continuous line.

The template uses colour coding based on subject type:

  • cryptid — Cryptids and cryptozoological subjects
  • ufo — UFO / UAP cases
  • haunting — Ghosts, hauntings and poltergeist cases
  • parapsychology — ESP, psychic abilities and related research
  • forteana — General anomalous phenomena
  • folklore — Legends, mythology and traditional beliefs
