Yvette Paula Fielding (born 23 September 1968) is an English television presenter, producer, and paranormal investigator, best known as the creator and presenter of Most Haunted.
Early career
Fielding began her television career as a child performer, and became the youngest ever presenter of the BBC's Blue Peter in 1987 at the age of 18.
Most Haunted
In 2002, Fielding and her husband, Karl Beattie, established their own production company, Antix Productions, whose first commission was Most Haunted for Living TV. Fielding has presented the series throughout its run, across its original broadcast on Living, its later run on Really, and the accompanying live event format Most Haunted Live!. The show established Fielding as one of British television's most recognisable figures in the paranormal genre.
Fielding has said in interviews that she came to believe the 2005 Derek Acorah "Kreed Kafer" incident on the show involved a fake possession.
Other work
Beyond Most Haunted, Fielding has presented and produced Ghosthunting With... for ITV2, and has appeared in other British television programmes including I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.
Personal life
Fielding was previously married to Barry Sweeny; she has been married to Karl Beattie since 1999, with whom she has two children.
