License tag for files whose UK Crown copyright has expired. Applied automatically when an uploader selects the corresponding option in MediaWiki:Licenses, or can be added manually to a file description page.

Placed directly on a File: page, generally below any source/author information.

Important: this tag covers several different expiry terms depending on the type of Crown work and when it was created or published (see the template's own text). Whoever applies this tag is responsible for checking the correct term actually applies — do not apply it just because a file "looks old."
