Template:AI-generated
License/attribution tag for images created using generative AI tools. As distinct from every other license tag on the Vault, this one doesn't assert a settled legal basis for use — it records how the image was made and flags its status honestly, because that status is currently unresolved under UK law (see the Copyrights policy).
Usage
{{AI-generated
|tool=Manus.im
|prompt=Create a photo for Participant undergoing a Ganzfeld sensory deprivation experiment
|date=31 July 2026
|depicts_real_person=No
}}
Parameters
All four are required:
- tool — the specific generative AI tool/model used
- prompt — the exact text prompt, verbatim, that produced the image
- date — when it was generated
- depicts_real_person — "No" in almost all cases on the Vault; if "Yes," per the Copyrights policy this file should not be uploaded at all, since AI depictions of real identifiable people carry separate risks (defamation, misrepresentation, right of publicity) well beyond ordinary copyright
Reminders for use in articles
- Always caption the image as AI-generated wherever it appears — never let it stand as if it were a photograph.
- Don't use AI-generated images to depict specific real events as though they happened that way — a Ganzfeld illustration showing the general concept is fine; an image implying it shows what happened during a specific, named case is not.
