Stuart Torevell (born 1 April 1974) is an English camera operator and rigger for Antix Productions, best known for his on-camera role as a paranormal investigator on Most Haunted and Most Haunted Live!, of which he has been a cast member since the show began in 2002. He is a cousin of presenter Yvette Fielding.
Career
Torevell has worked as Antix Productions' cinematographer and light rigger across the Most Haunted franchise since its launch, in addition to appearing on-screen as one of the show's investigators. He has also appeared in spin-off specials including Ghost Hunting with the Saturdays (2010) and Ghost Hunting with Radio One (2007).
On-screen incidents
Torevell has been involved in several widely discussed on-screen incidents over the course of the show. Most notably, during an investigation at the Ancient Ram Inn, he reported being physically attacked by an unseen force, an incident witnessed and described by fellow crew member Jon Dibley. Torevell has attributed his subsequent alopecia, a condition causing hair loss, to this experience. He has also displayed a fear of spiders on camera, and has described being trapped in a room at another location as one of his most frightening experiences on the show.
Personal life
Torevell and his wife, Terri, have a son, Max.
