This information is used only to review your submission and, if you agree, to credit or contact you about it. We do not publish your contact details without your permission.

== Comments ==
If comments are enabled on eeriefiles.com articles, we collect the name, email address, and content you submit, along with your IP address for spam prevention. Your email address is never displayed publicly.

== Cookies and analytics ==
eeriefiles.com uses Google tools (including Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used, and may display Google-served advertising. These tools use cookies and may collect information such as your IP address and browsing activity on the site. You can find out more about how Google handles this data in [https://policies.google.com/privacy Google's Privacy Policy].

The Vault (this wiki) uses only the cookies necessary for login sessions and site preferences.

== Third-party platforms ==
Our Facebook Group, Facebook Page, and Instagram account are hosted on third-party platforms with their own privacy policies. Anything you post there is governed by that platform's terms, not this policy.

== Data retention ==
We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for — for example, account data until you ask us to delete it, or submission details until we've reviewed and either published or declined your story.

== Your rights ==
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the channels listed above.

== Changes to this policy ==
We may update this policy from time to time as the site changes.
