== Format ==
The series followed six young people — selected from over eight hundred applicants at auditions held in London in the summer of 2001 — as they travelled across the UK in a large silver campervan, spending time at reportedly haunted or otherwise paranormal locations. The cast was deliberately mixed between believers and sceptics, and the format was described by its creators as a cross between ''The Blair Witch Project'' and a live-action ''Scooby-Doo''. The team received occasional assistance from guest psychic mediums over the course of the series, including Derek Ogilvie.

Of the six-person team, [[Phil Whyman]] — the oldest member — was generally regarded as the more measured, sceptical voice of the group, a role that is widely seen as having led directly to his subsequent recruitment onto ''[[Most Haunted]]''.
